The Poetry of Life

You don’t find poets within four walls.
You find them in the streets if you find them at all.

You needn’t see, however, or be a poet to believe.

Real-world inspiration is abound.

Simply watch with an open mind.
Listen. Feel. Experience. Connect. And share.

The “results?”

True “Poetic Justice.”

And an authentically compelling brand.

If the shoes doesn't fit

The New Year brought me an important personal and professional realization I thought I’d share.

Leaving 2012, I was under the impression “shaking the dust off your sandals”, meant “giving up”, “quitting”, and “walking away”. Personally, I am not a big fan of any of these solutions. Hence, they are things I am reluctant to do.

As the calendar turned though with it came a renewed definition. A sense of optimism I hadn’t had before. I realized the passage doesn’t necessarily emphasize “giving up”, as much as it does, “letting go” and “moving on”.

In that vein, I now realize when in a given situation there’s no more positive you can do, nothing beneficial to help be gained, “shaking the dust of your sandals” often becomes your greatest hope, best alternative, and, the most likely way of reaching the desired end.
